Why Oysters for You?
Fresh from Brittany and Normandy
We love oysters; we love the taste of fresh oysters. That's why we bring selected oysters from Brittany and Normandy to the Zurich area as quickly as possible, so that you too can enjoy this unique culinary delight at home alone or with friends.
Our motivation: We also want to offer fresh oysters to people who do not live near the coast.
We know the oyster producers we work with. Because they have to share our values of quality, sustainability and respect for the environment. This is the only way they qualify to be our partners. They have been in the business for generations and have a deep understanding of how to grow and harvest the best oysters.
We always receive fresh oysters on Fridays, which you can pick up at select pick-up points. If you place your pre-order by 2pm on Tuesdays, you can pick them up at our pick-up points starting Friday.
And if you have any other wishes, please let us know.
Our inspiration
More than 10 years ago we discovered Brittany. It was love at first sight. Brittany is known for its breathtaking landscapes and its culinary specialties.
For us as seafood lovers, Brittany is a revelation. Among other things, there are fresh oysters, mussels, langoustines and much more every day. Our first meal when we arrive has to be oysters. They are harvested fresh from the sea and served immediately. You can't get fresher than that. The taste of fresh fresh oysters is a revelation. After many culinary experiences, we only eat seafood and fish on site. The taste is incomparably good and makes you happy.
We want to bring this taste experience to you here as well. Our oysters should be the freshest and most convincing in taste for you.
Oysters are a delicacy!
You like them, or you don't; that's what you hear people say. Personally, we are crazy about oysters, really fresh oysters.
The flavor of oysters is often described as salty and slightly sweet, with a texture that can be both smooth and meaty. When oysters are grown in clean, salty seawater, they often have a rich, briny flavor. Oysters feed on plankton, which they extract by filtering seawater.
The preparation of oysters can also affect their flavor. Raw oysters are often served with lime or lemon to enhance their flavor, while fried or cooked oysters are often flavored with butter, spices or herbs. They can be enjoyed raw, grilled, steamed or baked and are loved as a delicacy in many countries.
Ultimately, the taste of oysters is a subjective experience and varies from person to person. Some people love the salty, meaty taste of oysters, while others prefer other seafood. Either way, oysters must be tasted to be loved.
